According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Online, as of Saturday talks were still going on between the Indy Racing League and the Milwaukee Mile for a race in 2010.
Apparently, at least to some in Milwaukee, Terry Angstadt's "We're not planning on adding Milwaukee (for 2010)" leaves the door cracked open. After all "not planning to" is not the same as "not going to."
The story says the league is pretty pissed over not getting paid in 2009. You can't blame them for that. A deal is a deal and everything. So, don't cancel those hotel reservations yet. I'm hanging onto mine for now.

Hey Bill,
I put this to George over at Oil Pressure and thought I'd try to get your opinion too.
I’ve been wondering – Milwaukee with a new promoter now has over a year to at least try to claw back some of its dented finances.
With the 100th anniversary of the Indy 500 taking place in 2011, do you see a potential return to the series for the circuit to try and re-establish the race just after Indy or could it do better in a different time of year?
Lastly, are there any *good* oval tracks that are not under the jurisdiction of ISC, that happen to be in an area where the IRL has a growing or healthy fanbase and that may be interested in having a race, that may be willing to stump up the sanctioning fee – or am I asking for a little too much?
