WHO will drive it? I'm guessing Katherine Legge (based on exactly nothing). She's a fav of Kalkhoven, back in Indy and said she would be popping some news coming right up here.
Congratulations Mr. or Ms. PR Person, your video teaser was intriguing enough to get me to post it. News release would have gone unremarked upon. Here's the pretty well done "teaser." STAY TUNED to see who the REAL DRIVER IS!!

I am confused. That is clearly a Panoz DP-07 (roll hoop, no airbox, flares over the front springs/shocks, elevated nose with a suspended front wing), but it's positively festooned with Honda stickers. Are they going to allow the Panozeseses to run at Indy this year, so long as they're retrofitted with the Honda Indy V8? If so, right there's your story, Pressdog. Forget who's driving for Redline, this is a game changer. We'll have like 60 cars trying to qualify! Alert Robin Miller and his platoon of "run what ya brung" letter writers!

I think it's clearly a DP-01 for film purposes only. Kind of a stunt double standing in for now for the real Dallara. "Make it look like a Dallara," kind of thing. KK probably has 9 DP-01s sitting around, so they painted one up for the "teaser."

A poster on TrackForum said he was told by SH that their driver would not be a 500 rookie.

I just like to nerd out over cars that don't belong with the series that they're puroprted to be in (like this case) or have the wrong livery (like the Benetton F1 car in the Speedway museum) or are generally based off of some race car and have a generic paint scheme (I'm a nusiance in the cheap toy isle, where little plastic cars are still patterned after 1978 Tyrrells and the like). That's all. Ergo, this was like catnip to me, if easily identified catnip.

Dale Coyne had a DP-01 painted up in Boy Scout colors last year, so this not even the first DP-01 to play the role of a Dallara on TV. ;)

Come on we know who the driver is going to be, white helmet and white firesuit....it's the STIG!!!!

I'm still thinking it's Scheckter, perhaps.

It's the Stig. No, it's Tanner Foust. No, it's Paul Tracy. No, it's Bourdais...

I think they should let me drive, I have never driven an open wheeled race car, but I have been to a few autocross days. They don't even have to pay me.

Gonna throw Townsend Bell in there. Why? Because I CAN.

She'd fit right in with the rest of the clowns at KV Racing.
Maybe they can hire Marco Greco for a seat at Indy as well.

Kinda forgot Townsend is bound to race for Sam obviously.

They were givng out samples of the Redline drink at the St. Pete GP this past weekend so I accepted one on the way out but wisely didn't consume it on the spot but instead took it home. Then I looked at the label. Then I googled it/checked reviews. If any of what I found can be believed...you are apparently much more likely to die from drinking this stuff than from racin'. Like, by a lot. So...(he said naively)this concerns no one?? Cuz if they give away this stuff at the 500, knowing that crowd (Cred: my wife's from Indy and we go every year for approx last 20 years so yes, I know of what I speak)...somebody gonna chug it and die.

No offense, but if there's a facebook like button, it'll be much easier for me to share.
