ESPN reports the IndyCar race at New Hampshire on August 14 got a 0.9 rating on ABC with an average of 1,277,000 viewers.
So far three races on ABC -- excluding the Indy 500 -- have averaged just under 1.0. St. Pete was the highest with 1.2, followed by New Hampshire at 0.9 and Milwaukee at 0.8.
Ratings for the 2011 Indy 500 on ABC were 3.9, up 8 % from last year.

Huh? What? a 1.2, .9 and .8 average a .8 ??? I guess the rumors in my industry are true - the Neilson people are idiots...OR...Mr PDog has a typo...

The 2011 average is actually 0.96666666666666666666666666666667. LAST year's average for three non-Indy races was 0.8, but they were different races (no Milwaukee or New Hampshire last year) which makes the comparison a little strained. I shorted them .16666666666666666666666666666667 in my haste to post. Apologies.

To be honest PDog, I think IndyCar needs a little bit of this to up the numbers:
