Ratings for the 2011 Martinsville race were up more than 28% (cha-ching) from the same race a year earlier. I guess lots of people like rock 'em sock 'em "racing." From ESPN PR:
ESPN’s live telecast of the NASCAR Sprint Cup Series race at Martinsville (Va.) Speedway on Sunday, Oct. 30, earned a 3.6 household coverage rating, averaging 4,923,000 viewers, according to the Nielsen Company. The rating is up from the 2.8 rating for last year’s race that also aired on ESPN.
