O.M.G. A video. From IndyCar corporate ... That's FUNNY.
Not over produced or edited within a centimeter of its life.
Not fawning all over Chip Ganassi, Roger Penske and/or sundry Andrettis.
Not weeping about the beauty of the 1984 Indy 500. Not fondly recalling the Offy. NOT WAXING NOSTALGIC ABOUT THE MORMON WASP.
Not over thought, over wrought, over analyzed, over edited and spayed and neuterd by the corporate "approval process" that bristles with "business purposes" fixation.
Not trying to force in the latest storylines or discussion points. Just two funny guys freestylin' as if -- incredbly! -- the fate of the entire world does NOT depend on what they are doing here. Are you shitting me? IndyCar did this? Seriously? The comic stylings of James Hinchcliffe and Josef Newgarden, who did not ONCE grovel about a sponsor or insist a driver is the GREATEST OF ALL TIME!!! at Mike King decibel levels.
... And the sky opened up, and a host of angels appeared to IndyCar fans, and they said, 'lo, be not afraid, for I bring you glad tidings of great humour (British angels!)' Insert Hallelujah chorus here.
Finally, a worthy comedic successor to Arni the Indy Insider insurgent YouTube genius of the past. Please, please, please IndyCar, do more of this. Whoever was on the production/direction team that did this, immediately tell them "do more of that" -- and then stay the F out of their way. Let 'em go. Rock and roll. Turn and burn.
This is the kind of natural, entertaining humor that's not self-conscious or forced that IndyCar needs in abundance. Witness the wonderment ... DARE YOU NOT TO LAUGH.

What he said, IndyCar.

I have nothing to add other than a healthy amen!

You mean, "this-ish."
Well, that settles it. Hinch and Josef are IndyCar's Seacrest and Dunkleman. These guys need to host every radio show, do every pre-race show, conduct at least 10 interviews with major media outlets daily, AND probably also host the entirety of the IndyCar broadcasts from their respective cockpits. If the powers that be can make this happen, then we're all gonna be in the gravy.

this is something every Indcar fan should watch. It's a good-feeling video, harmless, and something to watch in the middle of January

I've been complaining that Indycar needs to market the drivers better. So--like Nascar--new fans can actually follow a personality, not just a team or a sponsor. Not sure how many new fans will see this, but it's sure the right idea.
And speaking of Daniker...opened my msn home page today to see her listed at the top of trending topics--just for an announcement that's she's NOT running Indy. Danica gets more publicity for not racing than the others get (combined) FOR racing.

Perhaps the media, that don't faithfully cover Indycar, will be forced to discover this 'new wave' of Indycar driver instead of always picking the lowest lying fruit (Legends, Danica and Danica-related).

Excellent reportage. These guys rock! Wow, the new car is going to have lots of space for the drivers. Hilarious! Love to see more of this stuff from IndyCar.

Very nice vid. Good production. Great personalities that play to everyman. All they need is a monkey and they could star with Wayne Newton in Vegas.

Those to guys are more than race car drivers. Hinch needs his own show and Newy flashed it. Nice work PDog!!

Thanks for posting this Dog. Pretty damn funny. You are a champion poster and linkster. Add Lauren Bohlander to this pair and we'd have some serious comedy. Hopefully we will see more of this.

Didn't Rubio just remark upon his latest tests how he was surprised how well all the drivers in this paddock get along? We need to see more of that kind of "feel good" storyline out there with personalities such as these.
Perhaps an informal tour of more team facilities wouldn't be out of the question???
