I started the race with my ABG hat on. (anybody but Ganassi). It was a brilliant 24 hour SPRINT race won by a team of underrated personnel & drivers(the white hats) defeating the whiners & bully boys.

A really great feel-good moment and just what Indcar could use.

Rumors persist of Shank & PT hooking up for Indycar this year. Now that would be a team with ATTITUDE! Hope it happens.

BTW, have you visited Shanks sponsor's website www.liveon.com ? Maybe you should.

Dig. It.

"MICHAEL SHANK: I've never seen a shorter memory in my life than Scott Pruett's, I'll be honest with you. That guy doesn't remember driving around us on straightaways at mid-Ohio which is about the third of the length of Daytona or less, and driving and powering by us."

Yes. I like, and I mean really like, as in "some of my favorite drivers for the entirety of my fandom and their careers" several of Chip's drivers (Pruett, Dario, Montoya, Hand, even Dixon), and I HATE what happens at Daytona when Chip's cars don't have a clear straightline advantage over the other cars out there. You get what we saw this year, where the Ganassi, Starworks and MSR cars were all running near identical laptimes, but Pruett complained at length on TV about horsepower inequity. Or you get what happened in 2009, when the same thing happened vs. the Brumos Porsche, which led GrandAm to mortally wound the Porsches for the rest of the season (they never won another race, and only got close once or twice) while Ganassi went on to rack up 6 top-2s and fall just short of the championship. Chip and his guys tend to forget that they've won the 24 in 4 of the last 7 years, and have won something approaching half of all GrandAm races since 2005 (it may be as low as a quarter or a third, but it's a disproportionate number of wins for a single car effort). Geez, guys, God forbid you don't have a clear equipment advantage at every race.

Anyway, good on Mike Shank. Bring that stuff to IndyCar, please.
