Simmons Reports Vague Familiarity with the P-Dog

Indy Racing League driver Jeff Simmons reportedly played it cool when confronted with the  name "pressdog" during a visit to Des Moines, Iowa on Monday.

One of the p-dog's operatives who works at the Meredith Corporation in tony Des Moines reportedly dropped the p-dog name along with his true identity when Jeff visited Meredith.

"I mentioned your name and pressdog and he (Simmons) said that it seemed very familiar," said the operative. "He might have even remembered meeting you."

For the record, Jeff and I haven't met. I did unknowingly steal a cookie from an RLR hospitality tent once, though. Perhaps if she would have said "obscure IRL blogger, pressdog." Little did Jeff know he was not two miles from me on Monday. You'd have thought he would have felt a shift in The Force.
