According to the Indianapolis Star's transcription of Danica Patrick's every move, an airline pilot recently called Danica "Danicker Patrick" during an in-flight announcement.
Danicker revealed the newsworthy gem as she accepted the highest reward in American open-wheel racing, an appearance on the David Letterman show.
Industry insiders took the revelation as confirmation that the pilot was, in fact, a pressdog fan since pdog often refers to her Ladyship is "Dancker" in homage to the British pronunciation made famous by Danny Wheldon.
Or, it could be the pilot was just a Brit. Insiders agreed that it was far more likely that the pilot had a pressdog shirt under his uniform, if anyone, including but not limited to Curt Cavin, had bothered to investigate.
The mercurial pressdog said he was flattered to have fans within the airline industry but sincerely hoped the pilot "wasn't in the whiskey" when he gave Daniker a Marty Ried-like "shout out."
The Star also reported Danica was "sporting a flattering gray dress, matching shoes and her trademark jet-black hair worn down" during her Letterman appearance. They did not say if there was cheering in the cockpit when Danica won at Motegi. Read all about it here.
In honor of the historic occasion I printed out your web page and folded it up so "pressdog" has and airplane with a corresponding image - just like Danicker!
