PlanetF1.com is reporting that Ferrari will pay massive cash to 2007 F1 Champion Kimi Räikkönen to go away at the end of 2009.
Räikkönen is under contract through 2010, but allegations swirl that the Finn has been phoning it in since he won the title in 2007 and wants to drive rally cars more than an F1 machine.
Getting Räikkönen out of the seat may make room for Fernando Alonso in 2010. Alonso is rumored to be a done deal for Ferrari in 2011. Räikkönen finished P2 behind Lewis Hamilton in Hungary, the most recent F1 race. Such slacking, apparently, is not permitted at Ferrari.

Hey Pressdog,
Must agree with Pat - the Sun does not have the best of reps here; however the second it's on Pitpass or Autosport, then it's a cert...
Although in saying that, if Kimi really wants to go rallying, then what better time than now?

As an add-on, rumours have picked up that FIAT may be about to enter the WRC with Volkswagen.
