Bang the drum slowly, because apparently the Milwaukee Mile won't host any major races in 2010.
A Milwaukee Journal Star article lays it all out HERE.
It's a shame many levels, especially for the people who worked there. Despite decreased crowds recently, there still were tens of thousands of fans who enjoyed racing at the Mile every year, and this certainly sucks for them.
I'm glad I made it over to the Mile for the race in 2008. I had planned to return in 2010, but noooo. More's the pitty. Will it be back in 2011? We can hope, but the odds appear long.
The N-word guys announced that the Nationwide Series will run Road America in place of the Milwaukee Mile. SCCA Trans Am has joined the party. Too bad IndyCar couldn't join the party and make it a trifecta. That would require abandoning the Back-Bacon 250 at Iowa Speedway, however, and I know the p-dog ain't gonna let that happen :p
