IZOD INDYCAR SERIES TEAMS UP WITH GOLIN HARRIS TO GROW LEGACY SPORT
Agency tagged to promote the ‘fastest race on Earth’
CHICAGO (February 18, 2010) – The IZOD IndyCar Series selected GolinHarris as agency of record to work with sponsors, teams and drivers to re-energize the sport of open wheel racing. The agency will focus efforts in the areas of media relations, special events, promotions and social media during the 2010 racing season, which kicks off on March 14, in São Paulo, Brazil. The partnership begins immediately and will be led out of GolinHarris’ headquarters in Chicago by Molly Currey, vice president.
If Indycar doesn't prosper, it won't be because of Izod. I think they play in the big leagues.

"Now batting for the Indy Car Series....GolinHarris".
With all the money this sport has flushed down the toilet hiring ad agency's and marketing "genius's" over the past 15 years, they could have employed about 10 American drivers, who would probably generate the interest and exposure the sport so desperately needs.

I think the Indy Car series should have hired Chris Paff, Turn13-it-again and rjohnson from Trackforum to do their marketing. They are all truly bright lights and have all the answers for Indy Car.
Maybe add Mr CuC, Scott "Do as I say and not as I do" Gates, as the new "iron-hand of justice" and you would have something special.

One of the low points for AOW racing? The involvement of people like Simmons and Cedric The Entertainer.
Still sends shivers down my spine just typing those names!
Hopefully with this professional crew and Izod branding we'll start to see some effective marketing.

You forgot the Mensa candidate Jim Bob,whose message is right above yours, Todd. After all, they know FAR more than anyone who actually has a job in the industry does.
