A little something from the digital recorder left over from Iowa Speedway ...
pressdog: How’s the rap coming? (During a test at Iowa Speedway earlier in June, Helio Castroneves demanded Power rap at Power's upcoming wedding.)
Will Power: It’s coming man. We’re going to do a film clip and everything.
pressdog: Really.
Power: Yeah ... nah.
pressdog: Maybe do an IndyCar.com video blog about it.
Power: Yeah, I'm thinking about it, if we can get it going. I've got a mate who has recording stuff and so on so maybe we'll come up with something.
pressdog: I hear you're huge in (Power hometown of) Toowoomba, (Queensland, Australia), right?
Power: Oh yeah, Toowoomba, that’s my home town.
pressdog: Do they have a little plaque or something that says "Home of Will Power?"
Power: I’d have to win the Indy 500 for them to even consider something like that.
pessdog: Is there a famous boxer from Toowoomba?
Power: Yeah, Michael Katsidis, is very famous from there. He’s a very good boxer.
pressdog: They don’t have Will Power Day when you come back? A parade and everything?
Power: No, maybe Michael and I should put something together.
pressdog: Maybe when you win the Indy 500?
Power: That’s right, yeah.
If Will Power does release a rap video, his name should be Twenny Cent (20 cent), since that's probably the most popular coin denomination over here.

I'd love to see it. Will Power is one funny dude who isn't afraid to have a laugh at his own expense. I like that, even if he does drive for the Empire.
