Wish Villeneuve's Reynard was up front and center and Franchitti's Dallara was stuck in the back and mostly hidden like Montoya's barely tolerable G-Force. Otherwise, no complaints.

Wouldn't it be cool to see these cars do a parade lap on race morning?

That....is....awesome. I would have taken a vacation day just to head to the track and see that, if only for five minutes. PLEASE tell us they're going to do that again in May.

Surprised to see that no Marlboro/Penske cars made the grid. They could have at least included Mears 1991 winner. But overall this is an awesome photo op.

""""Wish Villeneuve's Reynard was up front and center and Franchitti's Dallara was stuck in the back and mostly hidden like Montoya's barely tolerable G-Force. Otherwise, no complaints.""""
With all the variations on that grid, why would those two cars bother you? The g-force is a nice looking car.. The Dallara looks fine. You have the 1st car to win, the last car to win, and the car that won at the 50th year of the event staged on the front row. Don't ruin a good thing for yourself with petty split politics. Sit back and dig it.

Got one of the last large bricks from the Brickyard before it was renovated. Saw Andretti, Mears and several other race there as well.

"and Mario is slowing down" I've heard that many time when I used to pay attention to the Indy 500.
I remember when the 500 used to mean something. Tony George really messed up the prestige of the 500 and he killed CART.

Note to Mr. Barnhart, 3 wide, 11 rows makes a nice photo as well as pretty exciting way to start the race. Tradition has it merits.

Somebody needs to put these cars in a little game and sell it as an iPhone app for $4.99. I know I'd buy it.
