Sarah Fisher has been receiving love from various corners ever since she announced her all-but-retirement as a driver yesterday. One of the first in was the normally irascible Robin Miller with a nice retrospective of Sarah's career that includes a photo montage. Read it HERE.

Attention fans of Sarah Fisher and Ed Carpenter: are you thankful that Dollar General is kicking out rigtheous coin so your faves can continue to race?

Then take 45 seconds to fill out this online form and send it to Dollar General. Just a simple thank you, along with a promise to shop at Dollar General when possible, will go a long way.

Or, go totally next-level on them and shop at Dollar General then mail in the receipts with your letter of thanks. Simple directions here. I do this three or four times a year.

Also, Dollar General sales receipts often asks customers to take an online survey. At the end of that there's a general comments section, where you express your love for Sarah and/or Ed. BAM Work it.

Festival of Scotch Shots: Sarah Fisher Retires, Ed Carpenter Joins Team

Sarah Fisher announced Monday that she's retring from IndyCar driving and that Ed Carpenter will take over her #67 Dollar General car at Sarah Fisher Racing.

Sarah will focus on being co-owner of Sarah Fisher Racing.

For now, Ed will drive in nine events, St. Pete, Indianapolis, Texas, Iowa, Mid-Ohio, New Hampshire, Baltimore, Kentucky, and the TBA season finale.

The decision likely comes as a bit of a disappointment to Sarah's many fans (myself included), but at the same time we're thankful for being able to watch her race for more than a decade in IndyCar.

NASCAR Finale TV Ratings "Impressive" at 3.3

Homestead Miami Speedway is out with a news release today calling the TV ratings for the NASCAR championship impressive at 3.3. The release also talks about an "impressive crowd," but attendance figures remain NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS. Ratings for the Nationwide race on Saturday were 1.4, up an IndyCar race (0.1) from the 2009 Nationwide rating of 1.3.
