Knoxville Raceway is out with its schedule of events. The Super Bowl of sprint car racing, Knoxville Nationals, is set for Aug. 10-13. See below for the highlights. I see waaaaay at the bottom that general admission on weekends is $15, that's a price hike from $12 last year, I do believe. Insert raised eyebrows here. I wonder if a 12-ounce can of beer still costs a savagely expensive $3?

KNOXVILLE, IOWA – Knoxville Raceway is pleased to announce the 2011 Schedule of Events. Premier events for 2011 include:
The 51st Goodyear Knoxville Nationals presented by Lucas Oil on August 10-13. More than one hundred of the top sprint car drivers in the world will compete for a $1 million purse and over 100,000 spectators will flock to the track to embrace the history that takes place during this 4-day event.
The 21st Arnold Motor Supply 360 Knoxville Nationals will be held August 4-6 and kicks off the 10 days of the Iowa Speed Week. More than 120 sprint car drivers compete for the Knoxville 360 Champion Crown.
The Lucas Oil Late Model Knoxville Nationals is scheduled for September 30 - October 1, and the AMA Pro Flat Track Grand National Series will be held September 10th.
The Lucas Oil Knoxville Championship Cup Series is a season-long 17-event sprint car series that begins April 30th and concludes on September 3rd. This series is known worldwide for developing the driving skills of drivers in any type of auto racing. The events are held most Saturday nights throughout the season. Tickets are generally $15 for adults, $8 for teens and $4 for kids ages 5-12.
